Iconic image of Tharros, the most important one, recognized all over the world, has always fascinated me, the sea behind, the scent of Mediterranean scrub, the wind that caresses me
The column on the land and the column in the water. The site draws my attention to the water and the shoreline - the meeting points. Here the archaeological forms are almost mirrored in the water, they are so covered in seaweed that I don’t know what is natural and what is human. This makes me question the different forms of agency on site. Echoes, lapping water, coolness on dry sand, clear shallows.
The sensation of wind and movement. What caught me here was the binary of stillness in the built landscape with the movement of the wind (the weeds, the water, the yacht).
The sound of wind and waves is on common site, especially at the end of the day when the wind picks up and your brain is not thinking about other things
I captured this video because of how beautiful it is to walk onto the site and how much the background and landscape takes my attention away from the ruins.
