There are little pieces of broken pottery just laying on the ground all over Tharros, these ones are right here and they make me think about people building things here for a very long time. This is a site so rich with the past that the trail stones are part of the story.
Because I saw the ability to sculpt the stones with squaring and joints.. because this is a basalt and you have to know the soul of the stone.. the sensation is to feel the hammer as it hits the chisel and the only note was the mistral with its sound and its freshness.. with its perfumes a
The change can be perceived in the various architectures, the abandonment in the silences among the ruins, the transformation into a place of memory: from a living city to a witness of the past.
Because here we never stop "meeting", different cultures, different languages, different nationalities all in a place of history, in the present to make the future of a glorious place flourish.
I see changes like signage and other things, there is definitely a desire to improve, I would pay attention to keeping the grass cut and tidy but it is not easy

I imagine sitting on a stone wall, still warm from the day's sun, while the sunset colors the sky orange. In my hand, a terracotta cup filled with dark, full-bodied wine. Around me, the voices of the merchants.
I saw the change, from the abandonment of a site which is preserved but without life, to the excavation, which brings it back to life! Colours change, vegetation change and knowledge about that portion of space
As soon as I set foot among the ruins of Tharros I feel the warm sun on my skin and a salty breeze coming from the sea. In front of me the ancient columns, white and worn, in contrast with the blue of the sea. I walk feeling the irregular consistency of the stone under my feet. I hear the seagulls and, further away, the sound of the waves that comes from "the living sea", the scent of myrtle and the salty air...
The sensation I currently feel is that of distance. To be here at the ancient city, with a direct view to the other side of the bay, it makes me wonder about how it will have been to be so close visually to other peoples, other activities, other worlds and opportunities, yet still so far away in a practical sense of travel and connection.
